Sandi Kreizenbeck, DNP, FNP, PMHNP-BC received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of San Francisco, a Master of Science in Nursing and a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Holy Names University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of San Francisco. Sandi is an ANCC (American Nurses Credentials Center) board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). About ten years ago, Sandi started working in Dr. Lynne Mielke’s autism clinic as a Registered Nurse, at which time she was inspired to become a nurse practitioner. Sandi has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Dr. Mielke’s autism and adult clinics for the past 5 years. Sandi is a MAPS (Medical Academy of Pediatrics Special Needs) fellow and has been trained extensively by Dr. Mielke since 2007 and by Dr. Rossignol since 2012. She attends multiple continuing medical education (CME) conferences every year, including the American Academy of Antiaging Medicine, MAPS, and Psychiatric and Lyme Disease conferences. During the Operating Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom conflicts, Sandi served as an officer and a nurse in the US Air Force, where she got extensive experience in pediatric oncology, adult medicine and emergency care. She served for almost 5 years and got out as a Captain. She has experience with accessing extensive medical care for her son with autism overseas and in the military health care system and has extensive knowledge on how to do so. She has also worked as an RN case manager at the VA Palo Alto Medical Center in the Polytrauma and Spinal Cord Departments.
